Be Mature. Most of us aren’t little kids and there should be no reason for anyone to act like one. If you have a dispute or a grievance that you want to discuss, please do so in a manner that does not conflict with our interests as a whole. If it is a problem with another member or a member of our faculty please send it to the main administrator to avoid creating an overly dramatic situation that could have been resolved without the frustration. Profanity is okay. Yeah, I’m pretty sure more than half of you were told that swearing is a bad thing and I still believe that to some degree. However cuss words seem to add a bit of flare to your writing and therefore I have opened the panel for them to be used. However, there is a catch. Use them in moderation. This also excludes racial slurs, wolves are technically colorblind so they wouldn’t care much what color the other was. Understandably since we’re personifying them they’ll see color but for sanity’s sake they don’t use slurs like those found in the English language or anyone else’s language. Your every post does not need to have swears in it and it takes away from the force of the word itself if overused. Administrators and moderators will be watching to see if it becomes too much to handle and a ban may or may not be applied if abused. Be active. There are many variations as to what this means so here is what we at GC expect when we say ‘be active’. This does not merely include getting on regularly to check your threads and enjoy our time together, it also means take the initiative to do more. Whether you’re an administrator or a regular member attending the site, think of new, fun things that we should introduce or edit to make things more entertaining. The suggestion and advice boards are open to guests as well so feel free to give us feedback or criticism. I’m sure we can take it. No bullying. Yeah, like that new cyber-bullying that’s been broadcasted – don’t do it here or one of our mascots will eat your face and toss you in the bay. If you are being singled out, hounded or you feel like someone is deliberately trying to get on your nerves, tell someone. Administrators aren’t here to just look good and act superior! (At least I hope we don’t) You can come to us with problems you are experiencing and we will do our best to resolve it. Know your limits. There are some people, like myself, who can be terrible at multitasking. Whether it’s keeping up with characters you have made or skipping between websites, know when you’ve reached your limit. If you don’t think you can donate enough of your time here because of home life or other sites you frequent, please don’t take large roles in plots or ask for high ranking positions. We need those for people who will be on frequently to attend to the duties those positions require and if you can’t hack it don’t apply. PG-13 and like it. This site is rated PG-13, all of those who post graphic situations on the site shall be banned immediately. Please we know you want to play you character as you like but no one wants to read anything too graphic so keep it away from the site please. Steal and die. I have absolutely zero tolerance for anyone who steals from others and you should feel the same. You would be mortified to find someone else using your writing, images or other work and pawning it off as their own creations so don’t do it. It puts a blemish on you that can’t be easily treated so avoid getting your hands dirty with theft and stick to your guns. If we catch anyone who has taken from us we will notify the proboards supporting admin’s and let them pass judgment on you. Be friendly. Now when I say this I don’t mean be like a rash on my bum that won’t go away, I mean be warm to everyone around you. Welcome new members or guests who visit the boards or chat box and remember that you were an outsider too. Try to answer questions others have if can. Lend a hand to others and help us make the site better. Advertising in the C-Box. Yeah, don’t do it please? Account names. I’m not sure why I’m putting this up here but it’s a personal pet peeve of mine I guess. When joining the site I don’t necessarily care what your login name is, but your display name should be something that we call you or the name of one of your characters. I don’t want to see anything with numbers like Lulu22 or something of the sort.
Character/in-character rules We’re fantasy with class. Yes,GC is a fantasy wolf roleplay and happily so but we’ve got our do’s as well as our don’ts so make an effort to keep within the little gray margin between our reality and your fantasy. Wings are allowed for certain breeds of wolf, not all of them are given that gift. Elemental abilities are explain in detail so there can be no miss understandings as to what rank elemental your character might be. Most everything is allowed for our wolves but make sure you check the species list to know what’s okay for which breed. We’ve got more than just deer in these woods. In this dark fantasy world where wolves fly, there are a great number of things that have been tricked into evolution. You might be lucky enough to encounter some of the re-hashed prey animals and predators that lurk in the bush but we here at GC have some animals that have developed new defenses to protect against their would-be killers. Not only this but wolves aren’t the only big things running around here. You can check out our animal listings and see who else thinks they own this forest. Time is like water it flows in one direction. Liquid-time, for those who aren’t up to speed on the lingo, it refers to how many places your character can be at any given time. As it stands you can be in as many threads with a single character as you think you can handle but you must keep in mind that things have to happen in order. If you’re in three threads and within the third thread your character got his/her leg broken, that injury will only transfer to boards you join after that. Your wolfy roster. Here on GC you are allowed to roleplay as many wolves as you feel comfortable handling. We don’t mind if you play ten wolves so long as you are capable of keeping them all active. It is also appreciated if you would list the wolves you have in your signature and include their gender, pack, rank and possibly even the breed of wolf they are. If it comes to the point where you have so many characters that you can’t keep track of them you can place the character on reservation until your roster dwindles or place them up for adoption. Let’s accessorize. Here at GC you are allowed to be trick out your wolf with some pimped out jewelry and fine little accessories to customize them with. But there’s a catch, All that bling had to come from somewhere and that place is the shoppe where you can purchase items and special features for your characters. The credits you earn through posting can be spent at the shoppe. There is, of course, a limit to what you can buy for certain items and those will be listed in the catalogue. Check out the Bans. Make sure you look at what’s banned in the side tables because its important. If a particular pack has too many wolves or there are too many characters with the same element they will be placed on a temporary ban and characters made for that power or pack will not be accepted. Save yourself the trouble and be vigilant when creating your characters. Only take one. The highest pack rank to be attained is the Alpha position; yes the coveted throne that gives you absolute power over your pack. If you’d like to be Alpha we don’t mind giving you the position if its available, but you can only have one. That’s right, don’t get greedy! Even if your character and the Alpha from another pack are madly in love with one another, if you’re already an Alpha you won’t get that role too. But, you can have a single rank below that such as beta. But that's it! We charge you. For every member they are allowed to make as many characters as they wish to. However, out of that wonderful harem you've produced only one wolf can have wings and only one wolf can have horns. We do not mind if the wolf that has wings also has horns, but that means you can't create another with either feature. The only method you can use to get more unique features is to purchase them from the shop.
